Marge Hubbert joined the faculty of Cornell's Department of Applied Economics and Management in 1983. Before joining the faculty, she worked as a certified public accountant, auditing small businesses, not-for-profit health and welfare agencies, and educational institutions. Marge taught undergraduate courses at Cornell in financial accounting, managerial cost accounting, and accounting for entrepreneurs and graduate courses in auditing and financial accounting for healthcare. She also developed an orientation course for students entering the Department of Applied Economics and Management.

Marge taught AEM 425 in the Fall semesters, 2005 and 2007, a course in which students consult with local businesses. She mentors students in AEM 325, and she teaches a module on preparing the financial section of the business plan.

Marge was awarded the college's Professor of Merit award for outstanding teaching in 1989 and the Distinguished Advising Award in 1999.
