Bruce Ganem, the Franz and Elisabeth Roessler Professor of Chemistry, Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology, College of Arts and Sciences, and a J. Thomas Clark Professor of Entrepreneurship@Cornell. Professor Ganem will work on the development of courses and projects involving entrepreneurship in the sciences, as part of Cornell's Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Program. Courses would include Entrepreneurship in Chemical Enterprise, the Business of Biotechnology: Taxonomy and Analysis, and Scientific Issues in Corporate Entrepreneurship. Besides formal courses, one or more conferences or symposia are proposed that would be of broader interest to the Entrepreneurship@Cornell Program, the Cornell campus, and the local community.
