Throughout her career as a corporate executive and entrepreneur, Murem Sharpe has brought emerging technologies to market. She is CEO and Co-Founder of Evoca (www.evoca.com), a Web 2.0 audio web and telephony services venture that makes it easy for mainstream users to create, organize, share and search audio recordings on-line and using a telephone. The venture has introduced patent pending technology that marries the phone and the Web. Recently Evoca was selected as a member company of the prestigious Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Center (http://www.atdc.org/company_detail.asp?CompanyID=301). An active Cornell alumna, Murem attended Cornell as a General Motors Scholar, graduating with an A.B. in Government and then receiving an MBA from the Yale School of Management. A former chair of the advisory council of Cornell's Entrepreneurship@Cornell program, she also is a member of the Cornell University Council and its Technology Transfer Committee, and the President's Council of Cornell Women (PCCW), for which she served as a founding vice chair. Murem and Tom Sharpe '69 reside in Savannah, GA where Tom's company markets and manages real estate for investors. Together with a group of other Cornellians in the region, they have founded the growing, active organization named The Coastal Cornellians of Georgia and South Carolina. Emily Sharpe '05 is a Fulbright Scholar in Kuwait, and Eric Sharpe is a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in advertising design.
