| Rich Marin is a 1975 graduate of Cornell's College of Arts & Sciences and a 1976 graduate of the Johnson School of Management at Cornell. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Bear Stearns Asset Management. Rich joined Bankers Trust after business school and spent 25 years there. He built and ran BT Futures Corp., ran World Corporate Department Marketing, ran the NYC Corporate Finance Division, created and ran Latin America Merchant Banking and the Emerging Markets Department, ran Global Derivative Products, was CEO of BT Bank of Canada, created and ran Global Insurance Derivatives, ran Retirement Services and ran Private Banking. He served on the Business Council and Management Committee of Bankers Trust and as Vice Chairman of BT Alex Brown. When Deutsche Bank acquired BT in 1999, Rich was made head of Deutsche Asset Management, Inc., the $300 billion Americas asset management unit. Rich is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of Beehive Ventures, LLC which is an early-stage venture capital fund. Rich is a member of the Advisory Council of the Johnson School of Management, a Director of the Parker Center for Investment Research and the Cayuga MBA Fund, a member of the Advisory Council of the Entrepreneurship@Cornell Program of Cornell University, a member of the Advisory Council of the College of Arts & Sciences, a Director of the Big Red Venture Fund, a Director of Network Storage Corp., eMarketer, Restricted Stock Systems, and a Trustee of CARE. |
