Mac Cummings created and served as CEO of Mindshark Software, a software and consulting group founded in 1998, guiding it to profitability within the first year of operation. He started the company his sophomore year at Cornell from his dorm room.  By his Junior year, the bootstrapped company did a $500,000 profit.  During his tenure at Mindshark, Mac succeeded in signing software agreements with Forbes, Money, Seibert Financial, and General Electric.  A pioneer of the speech industry, Mac became one of the first few members of the VoiceXML forum, and appeared as a featured speaker at industry and academic seminars. With his sights set on developing better speech applications, Mac co-founded Terakeet, and began immediately creating new and exciting technologies that would revolutionize speech deployment.  It wasn't until 2002 that Terakeet raised its first round of Venture Financing.  In the company's second year of operation, Terakeet's revenue exceeded the initial valuation and reached profitability.  Terakeet has now established itself as one of the leading Speech Software firms in the US, focusing primarily on US call center deployments.  Cummings continues to contribute to this burgeoning field as a keynote and featured speaker for Syracuse University, Cornell University, The Metropolitan Development Agency, along with a host of other institutions and organizations.   In 2004 Mac founded a firm named CD Technology Partners, which has made investments in innovative new technologies in such areas as Search Engine Oprimization, Beverage Distribution, and Real Estate.  Cummings received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
