Bob is an investment banker at Needham & Company covering healthcare, consumer and technology sectors. Needham & Company is a nationally recognized investment banking and asset management firm focused primarily on serving emerging growth industries and their investors. Prior to Needham, he was at Jefferies Broadview focusing on technology, media and services. Prior, Bob was Vice President of Advanta Growth Capital Fund, a $100 million venture capital fund focused on technology and business services, funded by Advanta Corporation. While at Advanta, he co-founded and was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New York Private Equity Network (NYPEN). Bob started his career at Merrill Lynch where he was an investment banking analyst in their New York and San Francisco offices. He holds an A.B. in Classics from Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Bob serves on the Cornell University Council. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Council for Entrepreneurship@Cornell. Bob is also a member of the Young Alumni Advisory Council for the College of Arts and Sciences, Vice President of Fundraising for the Class of 1997 – currently co-Chairing the 10th reunion campaign and director of Epsilon Association, Inc. (Sigma Phi Fraternity). Prior alumni volunteer positions include serving as the Young Alumni National Chair for Cornell Annual Fund and Vice President of the Board of Cornell Association of Class Officers (CACO). As an undergraduate at Cornell, Bob held the following leadership positions: President of Sigma Phi Fraternity, co-Chair of Class of 1997’s Senior Class Gift Campaign, Chairman of Cornell University Program Board (CUPB) and co-founder and president of Cornell Society for the Classics. |
